Ospitare il progetto di Francesco Del Conte all’Archivio Negroni, traccia un immediato dialogo con gli oggetti che circondano ed esprimono il mondo di questa attrezzeria, dove la pratica artigianale è fatta di passato e di presente.
Gli strumenti sono espressioni dell’intelletto umano, talvolta molto semplici talvolta estremamente complessi ma in entrambi i casi meritevoli di grande attenzione.

Francesco Del Conte (Milano, 1988) è un artista visivo, fotografo e ricercatore, vive e lavora tra Bruxelles e Torino.
Ha studiato incisione all’Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti di Torino e conseguito il master in belle arti nel dipartimento di fotografia alla LUCA School of Arts di Bruxelles (2013). Nel 2016 ha lavorato in Giappone su invito del Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea CCA Kitakyushu. Nei primi dieci anni di attività Del Conte ha indagato, in particolare, il design e la storia di una serie di tecnologie impiegate in architettura e in ambito industriale e artigianale. Nel 2023 torna in Belgio per condurre ricerche fotografiche presso la Royal Academy of Fine Arts di Anversa all’interno del gruppo di ricerca Thinking Tools.
Le opere di Del Conte fanno parte di collezioni private e pubbliche e sono state esposte a livello internazionale.

Hosting Francesco Del Conte’s project at Archivio Negroni allows an immediate dialogue with the objects that identify and express the world of this workshop, where craft practice is made up of past and present.

The exhibition is part of the program of Museo CIty – Mondi a Milano – from the 3rd till the 5th of March 2024.
Francesco Del Conte (Milan, 1988) is a visual artist, photographer, and researcher who lives and works between Brussels and Turin. He studied printmaking at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin and completed a master’s degree in fine arts in the photography department at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels (2013). In 2016, he moved to Japan upon the invitation of the Centre for Contemporary Art CCA Kitakyushu. In the first ten years of his practice, Del Conte focused his research on the design and history of various technologies emplyed in architecture, industrial, and artisanal fields. In 2023, he returned to Belgium to conduct photographic research at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp within the Thinking Tools research group. Del Conte’s works are part of private and public collections and have been exhibited internationally.
